Puerto del Carmen

Puerto del Carmen is a real vibrant but touristic town. There is plenty to do over here, so you won’t have to be bored when staying in Puerto del Carmen.

Puerto del Carmen: the boulevard

Puerto del Carmen is located on the southern coast of the island Lanzarote and is surrounded by different beautiful beaches. Especially Playa Chica is a lovely, tiny lagoon that is a picturesque place. Another very large and touristic beach is Playa Grande. However, you can easily enter the water here. On the boulevard of Puerto del Carmen, you can find many restaurants and bars, with happy hours practically all day long. Definitely enough to do over here!

Prices

Another thing that we really noticed is that the prices were relatively low in general here. Supermarkets, but also in bars and restaurants. As mentioned already, there are happy hours every day, almost every hour, so you can get a beer for less than one euro.

Accessibility

Puerto del Carmen is probably the most touristic location in Lanzarote and, therefore, easy to reach. You can go there by car, and it is also very easy to get there by public transport. If you are in Puerto del Carmen, you can better walk or rent a bike. The boulevard is quite long, but it’s a one-way street, so not so easy with a car.

Where to eat

There are many restaurants in Puerto del Carmen, most of them on the boulevard. We really enjoyed Starscafe Restaurant. This place looks really fancy, but the prices aren’t that high. Here you can find more information about this place.
